I am running a Hot runner mold and one of the heating cartridges such as...

...have burned out and needs to be replaced, I have replaced several on this mold before, but it always takes a few bits, and a lot of hammering.

simpply it costs a lot of time and money.

is there a known way to extract a dead cartridge heater?

the heaters, are metal casings filled with a ceramic compund, in a steel mold.
