We print a substantial amount of clear APET sheet. We have continual issues with low surface dyne (36-38) of the APET sheet produced from a number of extruders in Asia. By contrast, the APET we receive from the US typical has a natural dyne of 42. This discrepancy is a mystery to us. Does anyone know of any additives used in APET that will increase the surface dyne, but not effect transparency? Or, know of a specific APET resin we should specify to our asia extruders to achieve the US level?
